Ann Curry Interviews Deepak ChopraLife After Death The Burden of ProofThis is an older interview with Ann Curry and Deepak Chopra. He discusses his book Life After Death, The Burden of Proof. As a doctor Dr. Chopra spoke of his experiences in the ER. When patients come to the end of their life many experience extreme panic, anger, denial and then they come to a resignation that is more fear based than a resignation of acceptance. As a Scientist and doctor Dr. Chopra spoke of his background having been exposed to many different religions. His cultural background and scientific experiences has influences his writing and seminars. His own father who passed had meditated just before his death and had left this world as elegantly as he had lived.

Robert Downey Jr. on Jimmy KimmelRobert talks about the Oscars and Iron Man 2Robert Downey Jr. talks to Jimmy Kimmel about the Oscars. He presented for Best Original Screenplay. Jimmy had asked him if he disagreed with the Academy's choice did he still have to hand out the award? He walked on stage with two gorgeous models on his arm as if he was the character of Tony Stark in Iron Man. Jimmy teased him that he could easily become a member of the handsome men's Club which reminds me of an old skit from Saturday Night Live. Jimmy wanted to know if Robert which was one of his favorite films? He said Tropic Thunder and joked that his black friends still spoke to him even though he played a black man in the film. Then Jimmy teased him about the Bentley that Marvel Comics bought for him as a result of Iron Man's success.

Academy Awards 2010 Best Actress Sandra BullockFor her Role in The Blind SideSandra Bullock began her career as a teenager and finally found the role that enabled her to showcase her talent. Last night she won Best Actress for her role as the mother in The Blind Side. Her first line to the audience was, "Did I earn this or wear you all down?" She paid tribute to the other nominees and the Touhy family who took in a teenager who learned what it was like to be part of a loving family. She joked about about George Clooney who she never forgave for throwing her in a pool once and she gave a touching tribute to her mom who had passed away. Her mother taught her to not judge people no matter their race, religion or class distinction and she joked how she couldn't ride alone with a boy in a car until she was 18. She has always been an appealing actress because Sandra Bullock has always been down to earth letting anyone believe they too could attain their dreams as an actress.

Science Fiction Writers discuss the origin and appeal of the genreInterviews and lectures from 1968-1978Several Science Fiction writers such as Poul Anderson, Damon Knight, Federek Pohl, Gordon Dickenson, Harlan Elison, John Brunner and Jack Williamson discuss the origin of science fiction writing and the appeal of the genre to its readers. It is said that science fiction's basic truth begins with the technological change within the universe. That future societies are here and now and by accepting this change science fiction is unlike any other mainstream fiction. It is a sense of a greater or lesser time in strange places within the future. One example would be Gulliver's Travels. We see ourselves and recognize ourselves as part of the universe. Within this genre there are more ways you can write without restrictions. Many Science Fiction authors see this genre as a challenge. It is a revolution of thought, a sense of achievement. Many feel those who brought a man to the moon must have read and understood science fiction and helped create the present world.
